This Cookie Policy explains how AtticCleaning Sacramento (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit atticcleaningsacramento.com (the “Website”), and how you can control them.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies set by the website owner are “first-party cookies”; cookies set by anyone else are “third-party cookies”, which let a third party provide a feature such as analytics and recognise your device on other websites that use it too.
Which Cookies This Website Uses
The Website has no accounts and no login, so it needs no cookies of its own to work, and our server sends none when a page is requested. Your answer to the cookie banner is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
Everything else comes from Google Tag Manager, which we use to run our analytics. Tag Manager itself sets no cookies; the tags inside it do, and Tag Manager is not loaded at all until you accept. It currently runs Google Analytics, which tells us which pages are read and where visitors arrive from, and Microsoft Clarity, which shows us how the page is used — where people click and scroll — including recordings of visits.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_16L8G16EZM | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of a visit | 2 years |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Keeps the Clarity visitor ID and preferences | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Joins page views into one session recording | 1 day |
| CLID | Microsoft Clarity | Recognises a visitor across sites using Clarity | 1 year |
| MUID | Microsoft | Identifies a browser across Microsoft sites | 1 year |
| ANONCHK, MR, SM, SRM_B | Microsoft | Supporting cookies for the above | Session to 7 days |
Your browser's developer tools will always show exactly what is stored for this site. See also Google's privacy policy and the Microsoft privacy statement.
Error Monitoring, Which Is Not a Cookie
To keep the Website working we use Sentry, an error-monitoring service. When something fails it records technical diagnostic information — the page or request involved, the error message and the stack trace. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and because it exists to keep the site functioning rather than to measure you, it runs whether or not you allow cookies. Our configuration disables personal data collection and strips IP addresses before an event is sent. See Sentry's privacy policy.
Hosting and security infrastructure may set strictly necessary cookies to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
How Can I Control Cookies?
When you first arrive, the Website asks one question: whether to allow the cookies described above. Until you answer, no request is made to Google Tag Manager, so no tag can run and nothing is stored — refusing is the state you start in.
It is one question rather than a choice per category because that is what we can honour: Microsoft Clarity runs whenever the tag manager loads, whatever a per-category setting says.
You can reopen the choice at any time from the Cookie settings button on our Your Privacy Choices page, and change or withdraw it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser:
You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit with Google's browser add-on.
How Often Will You Update This Cookie Policy?
We update this policy when the cookies we use change, or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
